5 lb. apples
2 T. orange juice
2 T. lemon juice
1/2 C. sugar
2 t. ground cinnamon
1 t. ground nutmeg
Topping:
1 1/2 C. flour
3/4 C. sugar
3/4 C. light brown sugar, packed
1/2 t. kosher salt
1 cup uncooked oats
1/2 lb. cold unsalted butter, diced
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350F. Butter a 9″x14″ baking dish. Core and cut apples in wedges. Combine apples with the juices, sugar and spices. Pour into dish. To make the topping, combine flour sugar, salt, oats and butter in a bowl. Mix until the butter is the size of peas and mixture is crumbly. Scatter evenly over the apples. Place crisp in the oven for one hour until top is golden brown and apples are bubbly. Serve warm! Enjoy!
